Temperatures are set to hit 25°C in Dundee ahead of the summer solstice weekend

Dundee is gearing up for a scorcher this week, with the Met Office forecasting soaring temperatures peaking at 25°C on Friday – just in time for the summer solstice weekend.

The sunshine is expected to stick around for several days, with temperatures consistently reaching the early to mid-20s, making it one of the warmest spells of the year so far for the city.

• Sunday 22 June – 23°C
