Fresh progress has been spotted at Dundee’s upcoming Cake Box store as work continues on the brand’s new city centre location on Reform Street.

The dessert chain is preparing to open inside a new unit in the busy shopping street, with the exterior work now appearing to be largely complete ahead of the launch in the coming weeks.

New signage and finishing touches have recently been spotted at the site, giving passers-by a clearer look at how the new store will appear once it officially opens to customers.

The upcoming opening follows previous reports confirming that Cake Box would be expanding into Dundee city centre, bringing the popular cake retailer into one of the city’s busiest retail areas.

Known for its celebration cakes, desserts and egg-free products, the chain has continued to expand across the UK in recent years, with Dundee now set to become part of that growth.

The new store is also expected to create additional jobs while bringing more activity into the city centre, with many locals already reacting positively online to the progress taking place on Reform Street.

An official opening date has not yet been confirmed, however the latest developments suggest the launch may not be far away.
