Popular Irish bar chain Malones has confirmed plans to open a brand new venue in Dundee later this year.

The business revealed the news after launching a new website page dedicated to the upcoming Dundee location, which is expected to open in late summer 2026.

While an exact location has not yet been confirmed, the company says the new venue will bring its well-known mix of live music, live sport and its popular signature spice bags to the city.

Malones already operates venues across Scotland including Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Leith and Glasgow, becoming particularly popular for its lively atmosphere, sports screenings and Irish-inspired food and drink offering.

At this stage, few details about the Dundee site have been released, but the launch of the website strongly suggests preparations for the new venue are now well underway.

An official opening date and further information about the location are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
