Dundee has recorded its warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching a high of 17°C.

The rise in temperature marks a noticeable shift from the colder and wetter conditions seen earlier in the year, particularly during January and much of February.

After weeks of grey skies and persistent rain, the warmer weather has been welcomed across the city, with many taking the opportunity to spend time outdoors and enjoy the improving conditions.

The jump to 17°C offers a glimpse of the spring and summer months ahead, raising hopes that more settled and brighter weather is on the way.

While conditions can still change quickly at this time of year, the warmer spell is seen as an encouraging sign following a challenging start to 2026 weather-wise.
