Met Office issues yellow thunderstorm warning for Dundee

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms covering Dundee, with heavy rain, lightning and the risk of localised flooding expected from tomorrow.
The warning comes into effect at 12pm tomorrow, and remains in place as forecasters warn of torrential downpours capable of causing travel disruption and difficult driving conditions.
According to the Met Office, some areas could see between 15mm and 20mm of rain in just one hour, with up to 40mm possible over a three-hour period.
Frequent lightning and hail are also expected in places as thunderstorms develop across eastern Scotland.
The combination of intense rainfall and already saturated drains could lead to surface water flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and on roads.
Spray and standing water may make driving conditions hazardous, while delays to public transport are also possible.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is also urging people to remain vigilant, warning of the potential for localised surface water flooding and disruption to transport as the weather system moves across the country.
Residents are advised to take extra care if travelling during the warning period and to keep up to date with the latest forecasts as conditions may change quickly throughout the day.
