Dundee Comic Con is taking place this weekend at the Wellgate with doors opening tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.
The free event will see the shopping centre transformed into a busy pop culture hub, as BGCP brings its popular geek gathering back to the city on Saturday 14 February 2026.
Organisers say the event will fill the mall with heroes, villains and traders offering everything from comics to collectibles. It has become known as one of the city’s biggest free geek events, drawing families, collectors and cosplay fans from across Tayside and beyond.
Visitors will be able to browse dozens of stalls selling comic books and graphic novels, including both vintage editions and the latest releases. There will also be horror merchandise, alternative artwork and tabletop gaming supplies, with Pokémon cards, Dungeons and Dragons dice and Warhammer items all expected to feature.
Fans of collectibles will find plenty to explore, from Funko Pops and anime figures to plush toys and other memorabilia. Local Tayside artists will also be showcasing handmade crafts and jewellery, offering unique gift ideas for those looking for something different this Valentine’s weekend.
Cosplay will once again be a major part of the day, with costumed characters roaming the shopping centre for photos and meet-and-greets. Children and adults are encouraged to dress up, whether in full costume or simply wearing their favourite fandom t-shirt, with organisers describing the atmosphere as welcoming and family friendly.
With free entry for everyone, organisers are encouraging people to swap the traditional Valentine’s dinner plans for something a little different. For comic fans, gamers and pop culture lovers, Dundee Comic Con promises a lively and colourful Saturday in the city centre.
