Tickets for V&A Dundee’s David Bowie exhibition to go on sale on 24 September
Tickets for one of V&A Dundee’s most anticipated exhibitions will go on sale later this month, as the museum prepares to welcome around 100 highlights from the David Bowie archive to the city.
General booking for David Bowie: On Tour will open at 10am on Thursday, 24 September, with V&A Dundee becoming the first venue to host the V&A’s new UK-wide touring archive.
The exhibition will bring together around 100 objects from the David Bowie archive, including material which has never previously been displayed to the public.
High demand is expected, with visitors being encouraged to pre-book to guarantee entry. Bookings will be limited to four tickets per transaction, with tickets available online, by telephone and directly through the museum.
V&A Dundee members will receive an earlier opportunity to secure their places, with a 24-hour priority booking period beginning at 10am on Wednesday, 23 September.
Members will also receive free entry to David Bowie: On Tour, alongside additional ticket availability through extra bookable spaces. Membership currently starts from £28 per year and also includes free access to exhibitions including Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show and Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery.
The arrival of the Bowie archive is set to be a major moment in V&A Dundee’s exhibition programme, giving fans in Dundee and beyond the opportunity to see items connected to one of the most influential figures in music, fashion and popular culture.
With Dundee chosen as the first destination for the new touring archive, demand is expected to be particularly strong when general booking opens later this month.
