Two funfairs are returning to Dundee again this autumn

ree

Dundee’s fairground season is about to return, with Horne’s Pleasure Fairs bringing two fun-packed events to the city this autumn.

The first stop will be Riverside Park, where the fairground will run from Thursday 12 September until Sunday 21 September.

Visitors can look forward to a mix of brand new attractions alongside well-loved classics, with something to suit all ages.

After Riverside, the fair will move across the city to Caird Park from Friday 26 September until Sunday 5 October.

Once again, the site will be transformed with flashing lights, thrilling rides and all the traditional fun of the fair.

Entry is free at both locations, with rides paid for using tokens. Tokens cost £1.50 each or £10 for ten, with most rides starting at two tokens per person. Larger attractions will cost a little more, but the organisers stress there will be plenty of choice for families.

Opening times for both fairs are set for weekday evenings from 6pm until 9pm, with longer sessions at weekends running from 2pm until 9pm.

On the final Sundays of each run – 21 September at Riverside and 5 October at Caird Park – the fairs will close earlier at 5pm.

The sights, sounds and smells of Horne’s Pleasure Fairs have been a staple across Scotland for over 100 years.

In Dundee, the events are a highlight of the late summer and early autumn calendar, offering generations of Dundonians the chance to make lasting memories with family and friends.
