The University of Dundee has once again cemented its reputation for delivering a high-quality student experience, claiming the top spot in Scotland for Overall Satisfaction in 12 subject areas, according to the latest National Student Survey (NSS).
From healthcare and engineering to architecture and computer science, Dundee has shown its strength across a wide range of disciplines.
The university ranked 1st in Scotland for Overall Satisfaction in subjects including children’s nursing, anatomy and physiology, civil and chemical engineering, and computer science.
This recognition comes as students across the UK rate their universities on various aspects of their academic and campus experience.
For Dundee, the feedback reflects a consistent commitment to providing meaningful support, innovative teaching, and career-focused learning across its faculties.
Alongside the impressive subject rankings, the university was also placed 3rd in Scotland (9th in the UK) for course teaching and 3rd in Scotland (11th in the UK) for learning opportunities.
These results further highlight Dundee’s continued investment in student success and high-quality academic environments.
It comes as the university has been recovering from a financial crisis in the past few months which resulted in resignations from the higher-ups at the university, so this will come as good news for staff and students.
Subjects where Dundee ranked 1st for satisfaction in Scotland include:
Anatomy, physiology and pathology
Architecture
Bioengineering and biomedical engineering
Children’s nursing
Chemical, process and energy engineering
Civil engineering
Computer science
Environmental sciences
Finance
Geography
Physics
Urban and regional planning
With the 2025 entry cycle now open, the university is encouraging applicants who are still considering their offers to take this as a sign to confirm Dundee as their destination of choice.
