The Overgate are hosting a student lock-in at the shopping centre next month

Dundee’s biggest student shopping event is back this autumn as the Overgate Shopping Centre prepares to host its annual Student Lock-In.
The event takes place on Wednesday, 1 October, from 6:30pm until 9pm, and promises an evening of discounts, giveaways and live entertainment.
The lock-in has become a staple in Dundee’s student calendar, drawing hundreds of young people into the city centre each year.
Shoppers can expect savings of up to 40% at a wide range of retailers, with the full list of participating stores and discounts to be announced in the coming weeks.
Beyond the bargains, the night will also feature top DJs and live acts, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the centre.
The event is being run in partnership with AURA, Dundee’s most popular student nightclub, adding an extra edge of nightlife energy to the occasion.
Tickets are free but limited, and organisers are urging students to book early to avoid missing out.
