Skywatchers in Dundee are being encouraged to look up as the final supermoon until November becomes visible from tomorrow.
Known as the January Wolf Moon, the supermoon will appear slightly larger and brighter than a typical full moon as it reaches its closest point to Earth.
Clear spells could offer impressive views across the city, with the moon expected to rise prominently over the Tay and surrounding areas.
Astronomers say supermoons are popular because they are easily visible to the naked eye, making them accessible to casual observers as well as enthusiasts.
After this, the next opportunity to see a supermoon will not arrive until later in the year, making this a rare sight for Dundee residents.
