After 30 years in the departure lounge, cult BBC comedy The High Life is preparing for an unforgettable return — this time as a full-blown musical.
Set to take flight in Spring 2026, The High Life – The Musical will reunite all four of the original cast: Alan Cumming, Forbes Masson, Siobhan Redmond, and Patrick Ryecart. Based on the much-loved TV series, the musical promises outrageous humour, unforgettable characters, and mile-high entertainment.
The production is being directed by Andrew Panton, with story, script and lyrics by Alan Cumming, Forbes Masson, and Johnny McKnight — an all-star creative team behind what is expected to be one of the most exciting new musicals to emerge from Scotland in years.
A major co-production between National Theatre of Scotland and Dundee Rep Theatre, the show also brings in Aberdeen Performing Arts and Capital Theatres (Festival Theatre, King’s Theatre & The Studio) as partners.
With the tagline “Still Living It!”, fans of the original series and musical theatre lovers alike can look forward to tickets going on sale soon.
