Tickets are now available to step aboard the 2012 RRS Discovery when it visits Dundee on 13 and 14 September.
The modern Royal Research Ship will be marking 100 years since Dundee’s original Discovery, built in 1901, was officially given the title RRS. This milestone will see both ships celebrated side by side in the city of Discovery.
For one weekend only, visitors can explore the working RRS Discovery (2012). From the captain’s bridge and state-of-the-art laboratories to the latest ocean technology and crew living quarters, the tours will reveal how science at sea is carried out today.
As part of the centenary celebrations, the Dundee built ship Discovery will be offering free entry from 12 to 16 September. This will give visitors a unique chance to experience over a century of ocean exploration in one place.
Tickets for RRS Discovery (2012) tours can be booked now via Eventbrite.
