Hannah Laing has been shortlisted for DJ of the Year at the BBC Radio 1 Dance Awards, adding another national recognition to her growing list of achievements.
The awards highlight some of the most influential figures in dance music across the UK. Shortlists are decided internally rather than by public vote, with winners set to be announced by BBC Radio 1.
Hannah, from Dundee, has become a regular name on the station’s dance platform in recent years. Her hard trance-inspired sound and high-energy performances have helped her build a strong presence across major festivals and club residencies.
The DJ is named alongside Charlotte de Witte, Fred Again.., Kettama and Sammy Virji in the category.
In 2025, she launched her own music festival in Dundee, Doof in the Park at Camperdown, drawing thousands of fans to the city for the large-scale outdoor event. The event returns to Camperdown on 4 July this year.
The winner of the award will be revealed on 20 February from 8pm.
