Dundee is gearing up for the arrival of the new Christmas Village which will open tomorrow.
The City Square has been transformed into a “winter wonderland” and will open tomorrow to the public.
The Christmas festivities in the City Square include a live ice rink, light shows, Santa’s Grotto and vender stalls for local businesses.
As of yesterday, a big wheel has been spotted on site and is preparing to be set up. Fences blocked access into the village as work was carrying on into Tuesday evening.
At the same time, the Caird Hall’s iconic pillars are now graced with their annual Christmas lights.
Previous years saw Dundee’s Christmas festivities take place at Slessor Gardens, however this year sees a new operator, NL Productions, which has chosen the City Square as the new centre for Dundee’s Christmas festivities.
