Dundee is set to host its first-ever Dundee Music Festival on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June 2025, with over 100 live performances taking place across 39 venues throughout the city.
More than just a gig series, the weekend promises to be a city-wide celebration of live music, community, and creativity, with performances happening not just in the city centre, but in venues spanning Lochee, Fintry, and everywhere in between.
From indie to acoustic, funk to folk, and pop to punk, the line-up is as diverse as Dundee itself.
Festivalgoers can expect a legendary pub crawl atmosphere across some of the city’s favourite haunts.

What’s happening on Friday?
Highlights on Friday include local favourites Josh Moncrieff at the Bank Bar, Brendan playing a late set at the Gaiety, and DJ Broony entertaining crowds at Westhouse.
At CASA, performances will run all afternoon into the night, including sets from Adam Acoustic, Jamie Button, and The Melomaniacs on the outdoor stage.
Cryin Kidd will be bringing the energy to Sandy’s Bar, while over at Groucho’s, Johnny Scullion, Jamie Button, and Cover Daddy will each take a turn lighting up the stage.
And if you’re after something a bit heavier, Illegally Blondie at Beat Generator will be one to catch.
What to expect on the Saturday?
On Saturday, the vibe rolls on with Buffalo Soldiers and The Mess Arounds at Clarks on Lindsay Street, Cherry Bombz shaking the walls at Beat Generator, and Echo Romeo returning for a second night – this time at The Paddock.
The Queen Anne Bar will be busy all day with sets from Andy Blaney, Sid Brand, Gordon Drummond, and a closing set from Two for the Road.
Over at Molly Malones, Charley Davidson and Ross McQueen will lead the afternoon before Josh Moncrieff and Keiron Smart take over for the evening.
Dundee’s venues are just as much a part of the experience as the acts themselves.
From the intimate settings of Westhouse and The Snug Bar, to iconic spots like Groucho’s, Beat Generator, Clarks, and the Balcony Lounge, every space will be transformed into a stage for local talent to shine.
The full festival includes performances from over 100 artists such as Enigma Revival, Shades, Jennasis, Kings Guard, Rekkr, DJ Bob C, Edenbank, Katie Nicol, and Andrew Acoustic, taking place across 39 venues including Casa, Tinsmith, Dukes Corner, Bertie Mooney’s, The Barrelman, Don Padrino, and many more.
It’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious live music events Dundee has seen in years — with the entire city becoming a stage. Whether you follow your favourites or just wander from pub to pub, you’re bound to discover something special.
