Dundee is officially forecast to be the hottest city in Scotland today, with temperatures now expected to reach a scorching 28°C, according to the Met Office.
Originally predicted to hit 25°C, the city’s forecast was then upgraded to 27°C – but with the latest update, Dundee has climbed to the top of Scotland’s heat rankings, surpassing other cities like Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Perth, all sitting at 27°C.
It’s a rare but welcome moment in the sun for Dundee, which is no stranger to earning the nickname “sunniest city in Scotland.”
With bright skies and rising temperatures, locals are already soaking up the summer vibes across the waterfront, parks, and beaches.
Meanwhile, cities like Dunfermline, Stirling, and Aberdeen are forecast to reach highs of 26°C, while Inverness will see a still-warm 25°C.
Today’s forecast reinforces Dundee’s growing reputation not just as a cultural hotspot, but a literal one too. Sunscreen, shades, and plenty of water are the order of the day!
