Dundee has been featured in EasyJet magazine - sort of…

A family friend was flying home from London to Glasgow the other day when they spotted something mid-flight and immediately sent it over to me – clearly knowing I’d be all over it.
They were flicking through the EasyJet in-flight magazine, and on the route map showing all the airline’s UK destinations, there it was… Dundee.
Quietly nestled between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Not as a destination – but written on the map nonetheless.
Now, to be clear: EasyJet doesn’t actually fly to Dundee. But they do fly near it, and hey, we’ll take what we can get.
It’s funny – and slightly tragic – that Dundee shows up on maps like these without any flights actually going there.

But it also makes a bigger point: if we want people to visit, invest, or even just know we exist, we need to be visible in travel media.
These maps are seen by thousands of passengers, all stuck at 30,000 feet with nothing better to do than plan their next city break.
So here’s my plea: let’s get Dundee properly featured in flight magazines. Mention us. Show us off. Tempt people with a weekend trip full of waterfront views, world-class culture, and a decent portion of chips and cheese.
We might not be on the flight path yet – but we’re absolutely destination-worthy.
