CyberScotland Week in Dundee: Here are all the events taking place at Abertay’s cyberQuarter

CyberScotland Week returns from today (23 February) to 28 February 2026, marking its eighth year of bringing people, organisations and communities together to strengthen digital resilience.
In Dundee, activity will centre around cyberQuarter at Abertay University, a hub funded through the Tay Cities Deal that provides cyber security support, research collaboration and practical advice to businesses and the wider public.
Here’s what’s happening
This year, cyberQuarter is opening its doors for a series of events designed to make cyber security accessible to everyone - from students and researchers to business owners and members of the public who simply want to stay safer online.
All the events are FREE, with the exception of the Securi-Tay Conference which £30. It is the largest student-run conference in Europe!

23 February 2026, 6pm - 8pm
cyberQuarter, Abertay University, Dundee
This opening event brings together the Dundee Cyber and Script communities for an evening of networking, discussion and knowledge sharing. It is aimed at developers, cyber professionals and anyone interested in the crossover between coding and security. Attendees can expect informal talks, collaboration opportunities and a chance to connect with others working in the sector.

The Dundee Data Meetup will focus on data innovation and the role cyber security plays in protecting and managing information. The session is open to data enthusiasts, analysts, students and professionals who want to explore how secure data practices underpin modern digital services.
Cyber Drop-In Clinic
25 February 2026, 10.30am - 1.30pm
cyberQuarter, Abertay University, Dundee
Members of the public are invited to drop in for free cyber security advice. There is no need to register. Visitors can speak directly with experts about topics such as online scams, password safety, protecting devices and improving digital confidence. The session is designed to provide practical, easy-to-understand guidance for everyday online life.

This forward-looking session explores how individuals and organisations can prepare for emerging cyber threats. It will look at long-term planning, risk awareness and the steps that can be taken now to reduce the impact of future digital disruptions. A second opportunity for the public to access free, one-to-one advice from cyber security specialists. The aim is to make expert knowledge accessible and to empower people across Dundee and beyond to feel more confident online.
