Dundee Dance Event to return for 2026 for its biggest outing yet

Dundee Dance Event has officially announced its return for 2026, with an all-day and night celebration of dance music set to take over the city on Sunday 3 May.

Running from 2.30pm until 2.30am, the event will once again transform Dundee’s bars and clubs into a city-wide festival.

This year’s edition will feature 30 venues, including several making their Dundee Dance Event debut.

Organisers say the growing list reflects the strength of Dundee’s electronic music scene and the appetite for a full day of discovery across the city, from afternoon sets through to late-night closers.

LIVEHOUSE is set to play a major role once again, returning as the home of the official closing party. Following additional work at the venue, capacity has increased to 3,200, allowing more people to experience the finale in one of Scotland’s most ambitious new live music spaces.

LIVEHOUSE’s Rave Cave to make return

The venue’s car park beneath LIVEHOUSE will also host the DDE Rave Cave for a second year. After an off-the-scale debut in 2025, which included a surprise set from Hannah Laing, the Rave Cave will return with increased capacity, an expanded outdoor area and a reworked stage layout designed to improve the experience for attendees.

Early bird tickets for both the daytime Rave Cave and the LIVEHOUSE closing party are now on sale via Skiddle.

Dundee Dance Event has also confirmed Hotel Indigo Dundee as its hotel partner for 2026, offering attendees 20% off rooms when booking with the code DDE26.

With further artist announcements and venue details still to come, organisers say this is just the beginning of what promises to be one of the biggest Dundee Dance Events yet, as the city prepares for another day-long dive into dance music culture.
