Dundee Culture founder Andrew Batchelor returned to Harris Academy to take part in a special Q&A session as part of the school’s Arts Showcase.
The visit marked a full circle moment, with Andrew stepping back into his former school not as a pupil, but to share his journey and experiences since launching Dundee Culture.
The session was moderated by his former guidance teacher, now deputy head, Kelly McDonald, adding a personal touch to what was described as a relaxed and engaging discussion.
During the Q&A, Andrew spoke about how Dundee Culture began while he was still in school, and how it has grown into a platform reaching millions. The conversation also reflected on key milestones along the way, including the campaign that helped save Mills Observatory and the opportunities that followed.
Among those opportunities was ongoing work with Dundee Museum of Transport, something that highlighted how far the platform has come from its early beginnings.
The evening aimed to give pupils an insight into building something from the ground up, with a focus on passion, consistency and taking opportunities when they arise.
