In a major new collaboration, Dundee Culture has officially partnered with the Dundee Museum of Transport ahead of one of the city’s most anticipated developments — the opening of the Maryfield Tram Depot.
As part of this exciting new chapter, Andrew Batchelor, the founder of Dundee Culture, has also been appointed as the new Marketing Manager for the museum — a pivotal role that comes at a key time in the museum’s journey.
“This is an absolutely huge opportunity,” said Andrew. “With the Maryfield Tram Depot project on the horizon, it’s a brilliant time to step into this role and help share the story of what the museum is doing — both at the current Market Mews site and beyond.”

The partnership aims to strengthen awareness of the museum, drive up visitor numbers, and highlight the unique exhibits and experiences the museum has to offer. From vintage vehicles and transport heritage to exciting plans for the future, the museum is positioning itself as one of the city’s key cultural attractions.
The Maryfield Tram Depot — a historic site undergoing transformation — is set to become the museum’s future permanent home, offering expanded exhibition space and an enhanced visitor experience.
“Thank you to the Dundee Museum of Transport for this exciting opportunity,” Andrew added. “I can’t wait to start the engine on this new chapter.”
With this partnership, Dundee Culture and the Dundee Museum of Transport are gearing up to put the museum in the spotlight — not just as a place to explore the past, but as a major part of Dundee’s future.
