Dundee Crematorium have just launched a ‘Letters to Heaven’ post box for families

A new ‘Letters to Heaven’ post box has been installed at Dundee Crematorium, giving families a heartfelt way to remember their loved ones.

The initiative, part of a wider rollout by CMG crematoria, allows visitors to write private letters to those they have lost.

People can share memories, write messages, or simply express what’s in their hearts, with the reassurance that their words remain unread.

Each letter is handled in an eco-friendly way, transformed into compost through a gentle process. This compost is then used in the crematorium’s gardens, meaning that every message helps to nurture the flowers, plants and trees that grow there.
