After attracting over 15,000 festivalgoers in 2025, Discovery Festival will make a grand return to Dundee next summer for another three days of live music and celebration.

Taking place from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July 2026, the festival promises an even bigger experience, featuring major headline acts across multiple decades of music.

Kicking off the weekend in style on Friday, The Libertines will headline the opening night at Slessor Gardens.

Known for hits like Don’t Look Back Into The Sun and Can’t Stand Me Now, the indie rock legends will bring their signature energy and swagger to Dundee.

They’ll be joined by The Lottery Winners, fresh from their UK and European stadium tour with Robbie Williams, and Sheffield favourites Reverend & The Makers. More acts are expected to be announced soon for what organisers promise will be “a massive celebration of British guitar music”.

Saturday 25th July will see the return of the hugely popular 80s Calling! event, headlined by Tony Hadley, the unmistakable voice of Spandau Ballet.

Fans can expect to hear classics such as Gold and True, alongside sets from funk icons Level 42, Scottish favourites Hue & Cry and the soulful Jaki Graham. With more acts still to come, the day promises wall-to-wall nostalgia, energy, and 80s flair.

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday 26th July, ’90s pop sensations Five will take centre stage for what promises to be an electric finale.

The boyband, who sold over 20 million records and achieved 11 consecutive UK Top 10 singles, will perform hits like Keep On Movin’, Everybody Get Up and If Ya Gettin’ Down.

The group’s appearance follows their recent sold-out reunion tour – the first time all five original members have performed together in over 25 years.

Festival organiser Liz Hobbs MBE, CEO of Discovery Festival Ltd, said:

“We’re thrilled to return to Dundee and Slessor Gardens for 2026 with an incredible line-up of artists.

The headliners announced today prove that Discovery has something for everyone, and following the unbelievable demand after this year’s success, we can’t wait for festivalgoers to enjoy these world-class bands next summer.

We’ve taken onboard feedback and made some great changes to the site too, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible again as we rock, dance and sing our hearts out in one of the best cities for live music.”

Fans are encouraged to sign up to the Discovery Festival mailing list at www.discoveryfestival.co.uk for early access to tickets.

Early Bird tickets start at £52.50 and go on sale on Friday 14 November, with 1-day, 2-day and full weekend passes available.
