Discovery Festival has unveiled its full line-up for 2026, confirming a star-studded weekend of live music in Dundee next summer.

Running from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July at Slessor Gardens, the festival now includes global pop favourite Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who will join boyband icons Five on the closing night.

Ellis-Bextor, best known for chart-toppers Murder on the Dancefloor, Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) and Take Me Home, is set to bring her signature disco-pop sound to Dundee.

The singer has enjoyed a major resurgence in recent years, sparked by her Kitchen Disco sessions during lockdown and the viral revival of Murder on the Dancefloor. Her addition to the Sunday programme promises one of the biggest singalongs of the weekend.

Joining Sophie Ellis-Bextor on Sunday 26th July are Five, fresh from their reunion tour featuring all original members.

With hits like Keep On Movin’ and Everybody Get Up, they will close the festival with a high-energy finale. The Wanted’s 2.0 line-up, The Amy Winehouse Band and rising Scottish star Roisin McCarney complete a packed final day celebrating pop across the decades.

Friday will open with indie legends The Libertines, supported by The Lottery Winners and Reverend & The Makers, kicking off the festival with a wave of British guitar anthems.

Saturday’s 80s Calling! brings Tony Hadley, Level 42 and newly announced special guest Marc Almond to the stage, along with Haircut One Hundred, Hue & Cry and Jaki Graham for a full day steeped in 80s nostalgia.
