Biffy Clyro have announced a second Dundee show after tickets for their first intimate gig in the city sold out within just four minutes.

The band will now perform two special acoustic sets at Fat Sams on Tuesday 21 October, organised by Assai Records as part of celebrations for their upcoming album Futique.

Tickets for the newly added early performance will go on sale at 11am on Tuesday 26 August. As with the first gig, entry is available through ticket and album bundles, with limited ticket–only options also being released.

The announcement follows huge demand for the original show, which will see the Ayrshire trio perform a 45–minute stripped–back set in front of a small audience. Assai Records said that events like these are made possible thanks to fans supporting independent record stores, artists, and venues through bundle purchases.

Futique, the band’s first studio album in four years, is due for release on 19 September. The Dundee dates will give fans an early chance to hear new material in a rare up–close setting, a far cry from the huge arenas and festival stages the group are more used to filling.

Both gigs are open to fans aged 14 and above, although under–16s must be accompanied by an adult. Strict entry rules will apply, with lead bookers required to show original photo ID matching their ticket.

The double Dundee date is set to be one of the highlights of Assai Records’ programme of intimate shows, with the store on Union Street having previously brought big names to the city for exclusive performances.

With demand already proven by the speed of the first sell–out, fans are being urged to be quick when tickets for the second show go on sale.
