Abertay University named Scotland's best modern university for student satisfaction for third year running

Abertay University has once again been recognised as Scotland's leading modern university for student satisfaction, marking the third consecutive year it has achieved the distinction.
The latest Complete University Guide 2027 rankings place Abertay first among Scotland's modern universities for student satisfaction and 18th across the whole of the UK, underlining the university's continued success in delivering a positive student experience.
The achievement is another significant accolade for the Dundee institution, which has built a strong reputation for innovation, industry partnerships and career-focused education. Abertay is particularly well known for its pioneering work in video games education, cybersecurity and applied sciences, attracting students from across the UK and around the world.
Student satisfaction is one of the most closely watched measures within university rankings, reflecting how students rate the quality of their overall university experience. Abertay's continued success in this area suggests it remains highly regarded by those studying there.
The ranking also provides another boost for Dundee's higher education sector, with both of the city's universities receiving positive recognition in the latest league tables.
Alongside, the University of Dundee was revealed to have climbed 14 places in the Complete University Guide rankings, breaking into the UK top 25.
