A new wellness spa featuring hot tubs and a cold plunge could open in Dundee

A brand new wellness spa featuring hot tubs, a cold plunge pool, and a gym could soon be opening its doors in Dundee.

A recent planning application submitted to Dundee City Council outlines plans to transform the former Dragon’s Den pub on Princes Street into a dedicated wellness space. A decision from the council is expected within the coming weeks.

The proposals include the introduction of hot tubs and cold plunge tubs, offering visitors a range of thermal experiences aimed at promoting relaxation, recovery, and wellbeing.

Alongside these features, a new gym facility is also planned, adding a fitness element to the wellness destination.

As part of the development, the plans also detail a new sauna installation, with space to accommodate up to eight people at once — perfect for those looking to enjoy the health benefits of heat therapy in a social, spa-like environment.

If approved, this new wellness space would add a fresh option for people in Dundee to unwind, recharge, and focus on their wellbeing.
