A new convenience store and baked potato takeaway is set to open its doors in Dundee next month after signage appeared on the Kingsway confirming the launch date.
1st Stop 2 Shop has confirmed that its new premises, located in the former Royal Bank of Scotland building at the junction of Kingsway and Strathmartine Road, will officially open on June 15.
The site will include both the new convenience store and a takeaway called Spud Stop, which will open later on July 6, and specialise in baked potatoes. New signage has recently been spotted on the building revealing the details and confirming the opening plans.
The prominent corner unit has remained vacant since the closure of the Royal Bank of Scotland branch back in 2024, with passing drivers noticing the ongoing transformation work over recent weeks.
This will be the second Dundee outlet for 1st Stop 2 Shop. The business previously opened its first city location on Fintry Drive and has continued to expand locally.
