Dundee's summer music scene is in for another unforgettable weekend as Discovery Festival makes it way to Slessor Gardens on 25 July 2025 with an all-star line-up of British rock and indie talent.
Headlining the festival are legendary Ocean Colour Scene, joined by very special guests The Fratellis, alongside performances from White Lies and Scottish singer-songwriter Cammy Barnes.
Ocean Colour Scene are one of the most exciting and enduring live bands to emerge from the Britpop era. With three Top 5 albums, including Moseley Shoals (1996), Marchin' Already (1997), and One From The Modern (1999), along with 17 Top 40 singles, including the anthemic The Riverboat Song, the band has continually enthralled audiences with its unique sound and anthemic singalongs.
They will be joined by The Fratellis are Glasgow-based indie rockers primarily known from their hit singles Chelsea Dagger and Henrietta from their 2006 debut album Costello Music.
This Brit Award-winning band has had two UK Top 10 singles and three Top 10 albums to date, making them one of Scotland's best loved musical acts.
White Lies bring their brooding, cinematic indie rock to the festival with hits like Death and Farewell to the Fairground from their UK No.1 debut album To Lose My Life (2009).
Often compared to Joy Division and Editors, it has kept on evolving throughout the years with critically acclaimed records such as Big TV (2013) and Five (2019).
Adding some local feel to the lineup is Fife-born singer-songwriter Cammy Barnes, who has taken the UK charts by storm.
With several Top 20 singles and success throughout the iTunes Singer/Songwriter and Country/Alt charts, Barnes is also remembered for his remarkable run on Britain's Got Talent 2023 when he made it to the semi-finals.
With thousands expected to attend, and with the dramatic views of Dundee's waterfront, Discovery Festival will be one of the biggest musical events of the year.
A combination of nostalgic acts, indie anthems, and new talent means that Discovery Festival 2025 is fast becoming a 'must-attend' event. Tickets are likely to go quickly, so music fans are encouraged to get theirs early.
