The University of Dundee has once again secured a place among the UK’s top 30 universities, after climbing to 23rd position in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026.
The latest ranking highlights Dundee’s strength across a wide range of subjects, placing it at the forefront of higher education in Scotland and beyond.
The university earned first place in the UK for Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, reflecting its world-class research and teaching in these fast-growing fields.
Medicine and Dentistry also continue to shine, ranked second in the UK, further cementing Dundee’s reputation as a hub for life sciences. Other standout subjects include Creative Writing at fourth, Social Work at fifth, and both Art & Design and Physics & Astronomy at sixth.
The university also achieved top 10 places in Education, Pharmacology & Pharmacy, and Biological Sciences, showcasing its breadth of expertise across disciplines. These results build on Dundee’s long-standing reputation for academic excellence and innovative teaching.
The Good University Guide is one of the UK’s most influential university rankings, assessing institutions across teaching quality, student experience, research, graduate prospects and more.
