The Dundee HALF DRAM returns for 2025 but was cut short due to an error

This year’s Dundee Half DRAM brought hundreds of runners together under the summer sun, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere across the city.

Starting at Camperdown Park and finishing opposite Barnhill Rock Gardens, the event offered a scenic and varied 12.1-mile course that mixed trail, path and pavement.

Runners from Dundee and beyond took on the challenge with determination, supported by volunteers, water stations, and enthusiastic cheers from spectators lining the route. The warm weather added to the challenge, but spirits remained high throughout the day.

Originally planned as a standard half marathon at 13.1 miles, the route was unexpectedly cut short by a mile due to an error.

The atmosphere at the finish line was filled with celebration as runners collected medals, rehydrated, and shared stories of their race. Despite the shorter distance, the event remained a positive and memorable experience for many involved.

Volunteers played a key role in making the race a success, helping with setup, guiding runners along the route, and ensuring safety throughout the course. Their efforts were met with appreciation from both participants and spectators.

This year’s Half DRAM may have taken a slight detour, but its impact on the city’s running community was clear. With lessons learned, attention now turns to the next edition of the race, where runners will no doubt return ready to take on the full challenge once again.
