A brand-new celebration of motoring, music and community is coming to Dundee Museum of Transport tomorrow

History & Horsepower is set to make its debut, bringing together more than 100 vehicles for what promises to be one of the museum’s biggest events of the summer.

Taking place in partnership with Scottish Road Runners and Elev8, the new event will transform the museum grounds into a vibrant showcase of classic, modern and enthusiast vehicles, with owners travelling from across the region to display their pride and joy.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live DJs providing the soundtrack to the event, alongside a selection of food and drink vendors serving refreshments as families, enthusiasts and visitors explore everything on offer.

As well as experiencing the impressive vehicle display, visitors will also have the opportunity to discover Oor Trams: Dundee’s Tram Era Remembered, the museum’s newest exhibition celebrating the city’s rich tramway history. The exhibition features historic artefacts, rarely seen photographs, fascinating stories and interactive displays exploring how Dundee’s tram network shaped everyday life for generations.

Museum admission includes access to both the event and the exhibition, offering visitors the chance to enjoy a full day celebrating Dundee’s transport heritage, from horse-drawn trams through to modern motoring culture.

History & Horsepower runs from 10am until 4pm on Saturday at Dundee Museum of Transport, with organisers hoping the inaugural event will become a new fixture in the city’s events calendar.
