Dundee’s The Voice UK star Finlay McKillop to honour late dad with special charity concert

Dundee-born singer and actor Finlay McKillop is returning to his hometown this weekend for a deeply personal charity concert in memory of his late father, raising vital funds for the Stroke Association.
The performer, who recently appeared on ITV’s The Voice UK and starred in the West End production of Trainspotting at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket, will headline a special evening of live music at St Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday 7 November.
Titled Finlay McKillop & Friends, the concert will bring together local performers, special guests and supporters for an evening dedicated to remembering loved ones and celebrating the power of music.

The event holds particular significance for Finlay, whose father sadly passed away after suffering a stroke.
Since his father’s death, Finlay has dedicated himself to raising awareness and supporting the Stroke Association, completing two marathons and raising more than £8,000 for the charity.
Now, he is bringing those fundraising efforts home to Dundee with a concert that promises to be both emotional and uplifting.
Joining Finlay on stage will be fellow Dundee singer Paul Hastie, who has experienced a stroke himself.
Paul has also been helping organise the event and will perform alongside Finlay, with the pair joined by other special guests throughout the evening.
Audiences can look forward to live music, duets, familiar favourites and a charity raffle, with all proceeds supporting the Stroke Association.
For Finlay, the concert also marks another milestone in an increasingly successful performing career.
Having recently appeared in London’s West End and reached a national television audience through The Voice UK, the Dundee performer continues to showcase his musical talent while maintaining strong connections to his hometown.
His appearance on The Voice earlier this year made history when McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones used the show’s new Rewind button to give him a second chance following his blind audition.

However, Saturday’s performance is about something far more personal than television appearances or career achievements.
The concert will celebrate the memory of Finlay’s father, recognise Paul’s own journey following a stroke and bring Dundee’s community together in support of a cause close to both performers’ hearts.
Finlay McKillop & Friends takes place at St Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Dundee on Saturday 7 November 2026, beginning at 7pm. Doors open at 6.30pm.
