Kevin Sinfield will arrive in Dundee this weekend as he takes on the penultimate day of his 2025 7 in 7: Together Challenge.
The inspirational rugby hero and leading MND campaigner will run from the world-famous Carnoustie Golf Links into Dundee, finishing his route on the pitch at Dens Park shortly before Dundee FC’s Premiership match against Aberdeen kicks off at 3pm.
Sinfield and his team will make their way along the River Tay before looping around Dundee, stopping at key city checkpoints and then heading through the city centre ahead of their arrival at Dens Park.

His visit marks the fourth consecutive year Scotland has been included in his challenge, underlining his strong bond with the country through his friendships with Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow, whose experiences with Motor Neurone Disease continue to inspire the effort.
This year’s visit also resonates locally. Dundee Sheriff Alastair Carmichael publicly shared his own MND diagnosis last year, and two of the challenge’s six chosen beneficiaries - MND Scotland and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation - both have deep Scottish roots.
Speaking ahead of the Dundee leg, Sinfield said he was looking forward to returning to Scotland and bringing the challenge to a new city.
He joked that seeing the famous Desperate Dan statue would let him know he was nearing the finish, but he also reflected on the emotional weight of the day. “Scotland is always special for us,” he said.
“The penultimate day is always our toughest but I’m sure our memories of Doddie will keep a smile on our faces - and hopefully the sound of some bagpipes will spur us on.”
Sinfield added that his team would be keeping a close eye on the clock to ensure they reached Dens Park before kick off.
