Iconic Danish tall ship Georg Stage arrives in Dundee after spectacular journey along the Tay

The Danish tall ship Georg Stage has arrived in Dundee as part of its latest international training voyage.
The three-masted vessel was seen travelling along the Firth of Tay over the weekend before docking at the Port of Dundee.
The ship was also photographed passing Broughty Ferry and Broughty Castle as it made its way towards the city.
Georg Stage is operated as a maritime training vessel and is used to provide young people with practical experience of life and work at sea.
The history of the Georg Stage programme dates back to 1882, while the current vessel was built in 1934 in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
The ship measures around 54 metres from stern to bowsprit and is a fully rigged three-masted sailing vessel.
During training voyages, students live and work aboard the ship while taking part in both practical and theoretical maritime education.
Dundee forms part of Georg Stage's second major voyage of 2026, which began in Copenhagen in July and has already included several stops in Denmark.
The vessel is scheduled to remain in Dundee from 31 August until 2 September before continuing its voyage around Scotland.
Its later destinations are due to include Oban, Dublin, Vigo and Honfleur before the ship eventually returns to Copenhagen.
The arrival has attracted attention along the Tay, with photographs showing the vessel from several locations as it approached Dundee.as.
