A new fast food name is arriving in Dundee this week as Popeyes prepares to open its doors at Kingsway West Retail Park.
The popular fried chicken chain will welcome customers from tomorrow, taking over the unit previously occupied by Pizza Hut, which closed in December last year.
I was given an exclusive sneak preview inside the new restaurant ahead of launch.
The space has been completely transformed, with bright orange branding, digital ordering screens and a modern seating area designed for both quick visits and longer meals.
Staff were busy preparing for opening day, but still found time to chat and share their excitement about bringing the brand to the city.

Popeyes is best known for its Louisiana-style fried chicken, and the signature Chicken Sandwich is expected to be one of the biggest sellers.
I tried the sandwich meal, which features a crispy buttermilk chicken breast fillet served in a soft brioche bun with pickles and mayonnaise.
The chicken was juicy with a satisfying crunch, and the seasoning had a mild kick without being overpowering.

The atmosphere during the preview was upbeat, with staff in high spirits ahead of the official opening.
The new restaurant adds another major name to Kingsway West Retail Park and is likely to attract plenty of interest in its first few weeks.

With queues expected when doors open tomorrow, Dundee residents will soon get their first proper taste of Popeyes as the brand continues its expansion across Scotland.
