EXCLUSIVE: Dermot Kennedy is coming to Dundee to perform at LIVEHOUSE this April

Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy is set to perform in Dundee this April, with a special acoustic show confirmed at LIVEHOUSE.

The one-off performance, taking place on 1 April, will coincide with the release of his upcoming album, The Weight of the Woods, offering fans an intimate chance to hear new material live.

Kennedy has become one of Ireland’s most successful modern artists in recent years. Known for blending acoustic folk influences with pop production and spoken-word style vocals, he first gained attention through busking and sharing performances online before moving on to sell out major arenas across the UK and Europe.

His debut album Without Fear topped the charts and established him as a powerful voice in contemporary music. Since then, he has built a loyal global following drawn to his honest lyrics and emotionally charged live performances. Strong streaming figures and consistent touring success have helped cement his reputation as a major name on the live circuit.

The Dundee show at LIVEHOUSE is expected to attract significant interest, particularly as it offers a more stripped-back acoustic format. Fans will have the opportunity to experience songs from The Weight of the Woods up close in what promises to be a memorable night for the city’s music scene.

Tickets go on sale on 25 February at 11am via Assai. Demand is expected to be high, with the ticket bundle available through the official link.
