Dundee has been recognised as one of the world’s most underrated cities in a new list published by travel website Love Exploring.

The city was ranked 19th in the publication’s roundup, which highlights destinations around the globe that deserve far greater recognition from travellers.

Praising Dundee’s transformation in recent years, Love Exploring said: “Since the opening of its spectacular waterfront V&A museum in 2018, this Scottish charmer has become a more than worthy city break destination.”

The publication also highlighted the city’s ongoing waterfront redevelopment, its status as the UK’s first UNESCO City of Design, its growing food scene, stylish hotels and picturesque location overlooking the Firth of Tay.

The latest recognition is another boost for Dundee’s tourism credentials, with the city continuing to attract visitors from across the UK and beyond.
