Dundee FC claim New Year derby victory over United

Dundee FC secured bragging rights in the New Year derby after a narrow 1-0 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice.
The only goal of the game came from Ash Hay, whose strike proved decisive in a tense and closely contested encounter between the city rivals.
Both sides battled hard throughout the match, with chances limited as defences stayed organised and physical challenges flew in across the pitch.
In a post-match statement, Dundee FC described the contest as a “hard fought battle”, adding that the team “left nothing out there” and were proud to bring all three points back across the road.
