Dundee is set for a proper taste of summer next week, with temperatures forecast to climb to around 21C across the city by Thursday.
After a mixed May so far, warmer weather and sunshine are expected to return, with temperatures gradually rising throughout the week.
According to the latest Met Office forecast, Dundee is expected to enjoy highs of 13C across the weekend before temperatures begin climbing from Monday onwards.
Tuesday is currently forecast to reach 16C, before jumping to 19C on Wednesday and then peaking at around 21C on Thursday.
The outlook also suggests a mix of sunshine and cloud across much of the week, with only light showers currently forecast on Tuesday.
The warmer spell comes after a cooler and more unsettled start to May, with many across Dundee hoping the improved conditions mark the beginning of a more summery period.
While forecasts can still change over the coming days, it is shaping up to be one of the warmest spells Dundee has seen so far this year.
