Beloved indie rock trio Doves will bring their atmospheric sound and timeless hits to Dundee later this year, as they take the stage at LIVEHOUSE on Friday 12 December.

The gig forms part of a celebration surrounding the band’s newly released greatest hits compilation, So Here We Are: Best of Doves.

Emerging from Cheshire in the late 1990s, Doves earned critical acclaim and chart-topping success throughout the 2000s, releasing six studio albums between 2000 and 2025. Their catalogue includes standout tracks such as There Goes the Fear, Kingdom of Rust, Pounding, and Catch the Sun – songs that helped define the UK indie scene for a generation.

After a long break from touring and recording, the band made their return in 2024 with the single Renegades, paving the way for their sixth album Constellations For The Lonely. Their upcoming Dundee date will give fans a rare chance to experience their sweeping, emotionally charged soundscapes live.

LIVEHOUSE Dundee, which opened its doors in May, announced the news with enthusiasm, describing the event as “an unforgettable night of anthemic indie brilliance”. The venue also highlighted the Mercury Prize-nominated group’s ability to deliver a stirring live show in a close-up setting designed for true music lovers.

Doves’ visit adds to a growing list of high-profile performances at LIVEHOUSE, which has rapidly established itself as one of Scotland’s most exciting new music destinations. The December show is expected to draw fans from across the country for what promises to be a powerful and nostalgic night.

Tickets for the Dundee date will go on sale soon, and demand is expected to be strong. For those who’ve waited years to see Doves live – or to hear the hits that shaped a generation – this could be the moment.
