The Dundee Museum of Transport are hosting back to back events this weekend, with two family-friendly events set to celebrate everything from classic motorcycles to emergency service vehicles.
Visitors can enjoy Motorcycle, Scooter & Trike Fest on Saturday before Blues & Twos takes over the museum on Sunday, with both events included in the price of standard museum admission.
Motorcycle, Scooter & Trike Fest takes place on Saturday from 10am until 3pm, bringing together a fantastic display of motorcycles, scooters and trikes from across the region.
The event offers visitors the chance to admire a wide variety of two and three-wheeled vehicles, meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy a day dedicated to motoring history and culture. Owners who would like to display their own motorcycle, scooter or trike are also being encouraged to get in touch with the museum.
The celebrations continue on Sunday with Blues & Twos, running from 10am until 4.30pm.
The popular event will showcase an impressive collection of emergency service vehicles, giving visitors the opportunity to get up close to police, fire and ambulance vehicles from both the past and present. Visitors will also have the chance to meet the crews behind the vehicles and learn more about the vital role emergency services have played in keeping communities safe.
Alongside both events, visitors can explore the museum’s collection of transport heritage, including its latest exhibition, Oor Trams: Dundee’s Tram Era Remembered, which is open until 31 October.
The exhibition celebrates Dundee’s rich tramway history through a range of artefacts, interactive displays and stories from the people who remember the city’s tram network.
With two events across one weekend, organisers are encouraging people to make a day of their visit and enjoy everything the museum has to offer.
Motorcycle, Scooter & Trike Fest takes place on Saturday from 10am until 3pm, while Blues & Twos takes place on Sunday from 10am until 4.30pm. Both events are included with standard museum admission.
