Burger King has just opened up its new Dundee restaurant

Burger King has officially opened a new restaurant in Dundee, bringing another fast-food option to the city’s east end.

The new restaurant has opened in the former KFC unit on Tom Johnston Road, with customers already being welcomed through its doors.

Its arrival follows months of speculation over what would take over the vacant premises, with many local residents believing the site was set to become a Greggs after rumours circulated online.

Instead, the unit has been transformed into Dundee’s second Burger King restaurant.

The opening expands the brand’s presence in the city, joining its existing restaurant at Kingsway West Retail Park on the western side of Dundee.

The new location provides another convenient option for customers in the east of the city and marks the latest addition to Dundee’s growing food and drink offering, with several new restaurants and eateries opening or announcing plans to open across the city in recent months.

The Tom Johnston Road restaurant is now open for customers.
