Two well-travelled Scots have been raving about Dundee after a recent trip, shining a spotlight on the city’s unique mix of culture, food, and experiences.
Tom and Laura, the Edinburgh-based couple behind the popular travel blog TravelTwo, shared a list of highlights from their visit – and it shows just why Dundee continues to rise as one of Scotland’s must-see destinations.
The pair, who describe themselves as passionate photographers and adventure seekers, are no strangers to exploring Scotland’s best spots.
Yet Dundee left a strong impression, with the couple pointing to everything from world-class design at V&A Dundee to a growing network of independent food and drink venues that capture the city’s creative spirit.
Their highlights included Hofn Cafe, EH9 Espresso, Heather Street Food, Snout About, 71 Brewing, Eastfield and The Hideaway Experience.
They also gave mentions to SaltDog Marine and The Wild Scottish Sauna at Forbes of Kingennie near Broughty Ferry – reflecting how the city and its surrounding area cater to both adventure and those looking for relaxation.
What stands out from their list is the diversity of what Dundee has to offer. Few cities can match the balance of bold cultural landmarks, thriving local businesses, and countryside escapes all within easy reach.
If it’s enjoying a craft pint, tucking into street food, or stepping into a museum on the waterfront, Dundee makes it easy for visitors to pack in something memorable at every turn.
For Tom and Laura, it looked like Dundee was more than just another stop on their travels – it was a city that delivered the right mix of adventure and charm.
By sharing their experiences with thousands of followers, they’ve added to Dundee’s growing reputation as a city that surprises, inspires, and keeps people coming back for more.
