Dundee cyclist Mark Stewart has won silver at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after an outstanding performance in the men’s elimination race.

Racing in front of a home Scottish crowd at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Stewart battled through a world-class field to claim the silver medal, adding another chapter to an already distinguished Commonwealth Games career.

The medal comes eight years after Stewart was crowned Commonwealth champion in the men’s points race at the Gold Coast 2018 Games, making him a two-time Commonwealth Games medallist.

Australia’s Blake Agnoletto took the gold medal, while Stewart crossed the line in second to secure another medal for Team Scotland. England’s Henry Hobbs completed the podium in bronze.
