A breathtaking new video has captured a magical moment as Dundee slowly emerged from thick haar while crossing the Tay Road Bridge from Fife.

The short clip shows the city skyline appearing through the mist, creating a scene that many viewers have described as something out of a film.

The footage was captured by ScotlandNow while travelling into Dundee, with the haar hanging low over the River Tay before gradually lifting.

As the bridge is crossed, familiar city landmarks begin to come into view, giving the impression of Dundee being revealed in stages.

Viewers on social media were quick to react, with many praising the atmospheric timing of the shot. One commenter compared the moment to entering Narnia, a description that quickly caught on as the video was shared more widely.

The original post on TikTok has already gained more than 2,000 likes, showing just how much the clip has resonated. The same video was also shared by Dundee Culture, where it received a similarly warm response from locals and followers who recognised the view instantly.

Haar is a common sight along Scotland’s east coast, especially around the Tay, but moments like this are rarely caught so perfectly on camera. The combination of calm conditions, early light and precise timing helped turn an everyday crossing into something special.

For many viewers, the video has become a reminder of how striking Dundee can look in changing weather, and why the approach over the Tay Road Bridge remains one of the city’s most iconic arrivals
