A group of former Craigie High School pupils are set to give their beloved school a proper send-off later this month, with a farewell party taking place at The Quay Function Suite at Dundee’s City Quay.

The event will celebrate decades of memories shared by generations of pupils and staff, marking the end of an era for the school, which closed earlier this year following its merger with Braeview Academy to form the new Greenfield Academy.

Organisers say the night will be a chance for everyone connected to Craigie High to come together, reminisce, and celebrate the friendships and experiences that defined their school years. The evening will include live music, entertainment, food, and plenty of nostalgia.

Performing on the night will be The Interceptors, a band featuring former Craigie pupils Tam Culley and Steve Falconer. Known for their energetic sets at events like the famous Bon Fest, the group will perform an eclectic mix of songs spanning from the 60s to the 2000s – from ABBA and indie hits to classic rock anthems.

The celebrations will continue with a DJ set from Colin “DJ Robbster” Robb, another Craigie alumnus, who’ll keep the dance floor busy with favourite tunes and requests from across the decades. A light-hearted “schoolyear bingo” with prizes will add a fun twist to the evening, alongside photo boards showcasing memories from each decade of Craigie’s history.

Food will be provided by local favourite Clarks Bakery, ensuring guests can enjoy some of Dundee’s best comfort food as they catch up with old classmates.

Organisers hope the event will be a night to remember – a final chapter for a school that shaped so many lives in Dundee’s east end.
