Several Dundee attractions and businesses are facing closures and operational changes today as the city continues to deal with the aftermath of yesterday’s severe weather.
Heavy rain and strong winds caused flooding and damage in parts of the city, leading to disruption across multiple venues.
Attractions
The McManus Galleries will be closed to the public today following complications caused by yesterday’s severe weather. The venue has not confirmed when it expects to reopen, but updates will be issued once the situation has been assessed.
Dundee Museum of Transport will open later than usual today, welcoming visitors from 11am. The delay is due to operational adjustments following the adverse weather.
At Verdant Works, some areas of the museum will not be accessible to the public. While the attraction remains open, visitors are advised to check in advance for any restrictions to avoid disappointment.
Shopping
The Overgate Centre remains open, but flooding from the storm has forced the closure of several stores. Shops affected include Barrhead Travel, Five Guys, River Island, Schuh, Holland & Barrett, Pandora, Rituals, DV8, and Flying Tiger. Centre management have not indicated when these stores will resume trading
