An Evening with Scotland’s Astronomer Royal

27 October, 6.30pm, at The Steps Theatre


Dundee will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mills Observatory with a captivating evening of cosmic exploration led by Professor Catherine Heymans, Scotland’s Astronomer Royal. The event invites audiences to journey through the wonders of the Universe with one of the UK’s most respected astrophysicists.


As the first woman to hold the title of Astronomer Royal for Scotland, Professor Heymans brings passion, insight, and accessibility to astronomy, inspiring curiosity in stargazers of all ages. This special talk promises an engaging and thought-provoking experience for anyone fascinated by the night sky.



Mills Observatory at 90

28 October, 4-10pm, at Mills Observatory


Come and visit the incredible Mills Observatory as it turns 90. A special use of the Cooke refractor telescope will be on show for guests to see Saturn! .



Witch Hunt

30–31 October, 6pm, at The Old Steeple (meeting point)


The Caird Hall hosts a fabulous rendition of Swan Lake which is sure to captivate viewers of every age with its stunning beauty, dramatic flair, and enduring elegance. As a classical ballet masterpiece, it's an experience you'll treasure well beyond the last curtain call.



T-Rextasy

30 October, 7.30pm, at Whitehall Theatre


T.Rextasy bring the spirit of glam rock legend Marc Bolan and T.Rex back to life in an electrifying tribute concert. Recognised as the world’s only official tribute to Bolan, the band are endorsed by his family, estate and former bandmates. For over 20 years, they’ve wowed audiences worldwide with hits like Love to Boogie, Telegram Sam, Jeepster and 20th Century Boy. Twist and Shout

A Kind of Magic - Queen: Strings

31 October, 7.30pm, at St Paul’s Cathedral


The St Paul’s Evening Series presents a spectacular celebration of Queen, bringing the band’s legendary anthems to life in a stunning new way. Audiences can experience the magic of hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and Don’t Stop Me Now performed in the beautiful setting of St Paul’s. Panic in the City

1 November, 7pm at Music Hall Dundee


Frankly, The Smiths capture the essence of the iconic indie band with an authentic and energetic tribute that’s won over audiences across Scotland. Since forming in 2017, the four-piece have performed to devoted fans at renowned venues such as the Ironworks in Inverness and Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh. Their shows dive deep into The Smiths’ rich back catalogue, offering a truly immersive experience for fans old and new. Supported by Sound Affex, a tribute to The Jam, and local punk favourites Ganked, this will be a night of live music not to be missed.



Catwalk for a Cause

2 November, 12.30pm, at Bonar Hall


Get ready for an afternoon of style and generosity at Catwalk for a Cause, a glamorous fashion event in support of charity. Guests can browse the Past Present Futures Charity Boutique, enjoy a glass of fizz, and take in a dazzling runway show celebrating fashion through the ages. With live music, an exciting auction, and a raffle filled with fantastic prizes, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the day. The dress code is Dress to Impress – a chance to make a statement while giving back. Proudly supported by Bonar Hall, CHAP Group, SCAPE Scotland, and Thorntons.



Tea and Tunes - Chloe Bryce and Calum McIlroy

2 November, 2.30pm, at Marryat Hall


Live Music Now Scotland artists Chloe Bryce and Calum McIlroy form a dynamic contemporary-traditional duo bringing a fresh yet authentic sound to Scotland’s folk scene. Combining fiddle, guitar, mandolin and heartfelt vocals, they weave together traditional and modern tunes alongside Gaelic and Scots songs. Chloe’s soulful fiddle playing and expressive voice showcase her remarkable depth as an emerging artist, while Calum’s lyrical arrangements and instrumental finesse highlight his reputation as one of Scotland’s rising folk talents. Together, they create performances that are both intimate and captivating.



UK Pink Floyd Experience

2 November, 7.30pm, at Whitehall Theatre


Marking 50 years since the release of Wish You Were Here, the UK Pink Floyd Experience delivers an unforgettable live tribute to one of rock’s greatest bands. Featuring exceptional musicianship, breathtaking lighting, and over two hours of timeless music, the show captures the true spirit of Pink Floyd in concert. The brand-new 2025 set includes every track from Wish You Were Here, along with classics from The Division Bell, The Wall, Animals, and The Dark Side of the Moon. Fans can also look forward to special performances of Lucifer Sam and Childhood’s End.
